Derek — Director of Education
Derek
Derek has spent years building music programs across New York City — in schools, private studios, and performance settings. As Director of Education at Bros Guitar Shop, he oversees the lessons program and ensures every student gets instruction that actually moves them forward.
His approach is direct and results-driven: you play real music from your very first session. No dry theory exercises, no busywork — just focused, goal-oriented practice that builds real skill.
Preparing for LaGuardia or conservatory auditions? Derek works with serious students on audition repertoire and technical preparation for LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts and other competitive programs across NYC. Ask about our dedicated audition prep track when you inquire.
