Shop Manager
Location: Brothers Guitar Shop
We are seeking a highly organized and motivated individual to join our team as a Shop Manager at Brothers Guitar Shop. The Shop Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the store, including managing staff, ordering inventory, and maintaining a clean and organized shop environment.
The ideal candidate will have experience in retail management, strong communication and leadership skills, and a passion for music. Experience in the guitar industry is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and train staff members
- Maintain inventory and place orders as needed
- Oversee the cleanliness and organization of the shop
- Assist customers with product selection and provide product knowledge
- Handle financial responsibilities such as processing transactions and reconciling daily sales
- Plan and execute in-store events and promotions
Requirements:
- 2+ years of retail management experience
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Knowledge of the guitar industry is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays
Luthier Apprentice
Location: Brothers Guitar Shop
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Luthier Apprentice at Brothers Guitar Shop. The Luthier Apprentice will be responsible for assisting the head luthier with a variety of tasks, including repairing and maintaining instruments, building custom instruments, and assisting with the day-to-day operations of the repair shop.
This is an unpaid position, but we do offer a travel stipend and occasional bonuses to our apprentices. In addition, all apprentices receive an employee discount at the guitar shop. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in music and a desire to learn the craft of lutherie. Prior experience in woodworking or instrument repair is a plus, but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the head luthier with a variety of tasks, including instrument repair and maintenance, building custom instruments, and assisting with the day-to-day operations of the repair shop
- Learn the skills and techniques of lutherie through hands-on training and mentorship
- Help maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Communicate with customers and provide excellent customer service
Requirements:
- Strong interest in music and desire to learn the craft of lutherie
- Experience in woodworking or instrument repair is a plus, but not required
- Attention to detail and ability to work with small tools
- Good communication and customer service skills

Job Description:
We are currently seeking talented and enthusiastic Guitar, Bass, and Piano Teachers to join our team. As a Guitar, Bass, and Piano Teacher, you will have the opportunity to inspire and educate students in the art of music while helping them develop their musical skills and creativity.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one lessons in guitar, bass, or piano to students of various ages and skill levels.
- Develop and customize lesson plans to meet the individual needs and goals of each student.
- Instruct students on music theory, technique, and performance skills.
- Foster a positive and motivating learning environment.
- Prepare students for recitals, auditions, and performances as needed.
- Monitor and assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
- Maintain a well-organized and engaging teaching space.
- Stay up-to-date with music education trends and techniques.
Qualifications:
- Proven proficiency in guitar, bass, or piano with a strong musical background.
- Teaching experience is preferred, but we are open to enthusiastic and dedicated individuals with a passion for music education.
