Brothers Breakdown Recap

We could go on for hours talking about Sterling’s Cutlass (Sergio says it’s his favorite in the sub-thousand range), but let’s start with some of the basics.

Fretboard Radius

This roasted maple fretboard is reminiscent of a standard Stratocaster’s. It’s a Goldilocks situation; the fretboard is not too wide, nor too narrow, giving experienced players room to stretch and novices or hobbyists the opportunity to practice their stretch. Overall, this specific design makes room for live show playability.

Pickup Configuration

Cutlass comes with four HSS pickups, which is average for most Sterling electric guitars. This really adds to the classic Strat feel that this model provides. However, it’s not quite like a Fender Strat sound. Sterling puts their own spin on the classic, beloved Strat tones with its unique, easily identifiable pickup settings. Play around with each one until you find what’s right for you. You could easily spend hours figuring out what each setting does.

American Made

Sterling by Music Man operates out of sunny Los Angeles, California. The Cutlass model stays true to the sounds of old Hollywood rock and roll.

New Take On A Beloved Classic

The creamy, off-white finish of this specific Cutlass is undeniably the face of a Strat. However, again, if you’re looking for a Fender Player Strat, you’re in the wrong place. If you’re looking to experiment with some wicked tone potential, mixed with volume options that will captivate any live crowd, you’re in the exact right place. Plus, this Strat features locking tuners, making it perfect for longer sets, jam sessions, or studio time.

Who’s It For

A solid Strat is for everyone. Seriously. Every single guitar player could benefit from having a good Strat in their guitar collection. In fact, a Strat model tends to be a popular first guitar, because they really are just a classic. This model would be great for live musicians who really want to take their performance gear up a notch. Otherwise, studio musicians would benefit from its versatility. Hobbyists will love it because it is simply…fun!

Explore your potential with Sterling by Music Man’s Cutlass electric guitar. This guitar would be a wonderful gift to yourself, or someone else, to really dive deeper into your playing. There are so many different ways to use this beast of a guitar.
