The JTK1 features a basswood body bolted to a maple neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with unique offset bar inlays. Components include dual Ibanez Super 58 Custom  with chrome covers, an aluminum pickguard and the Full Tune III fixed bridge with ornamental tailpiece. A unique feature of the JTK1 are the two extra seesaw type rocker switches for coil splitting. Similar switches were also used on the sixties "pawnshop" guitars, but were generally employed as on-off switches for the pickups in those earlier guitars.
