The Taylor 524ce Grand Auditorium Acoustic-Electric Guitar in Shaded Edgeburst features a Mahogany Top, V-Class Bracing, and Faux-Tortoise Shell Binding for a dark and sultry visual vibe. Taylor's Expression System 2 comes factory installed so no matter what your needs are, the 524ce can handle them! 

The main ingredient of the 524ce is Tropical . This lovely tonewood has been used in both the acoustic and electric guitar worlds for Centuries and Decades, respectively. Mahogany provides a warm tone, rich in mid-range, with some musical compression thanks to the Hardwood top (Spruce is a Soft Wood, comparatively). This tonewood combined with the Grand Auditorium body shape gives us phenomenal balance, articulation, and powerful sounding chords.

The neck is also made from Tropical and is topped with an Ebony Fingerboard. The fingerboard is bound with Ebony for a uniform look. Taylor's Century Fingerboard Inlay was selected for the 524ce for a simple yet striking look. 1.75" nut width puts the strings right where they should be while the Tusq nut keeps the strings vibrating. keeps the tension on the strings high and offers great brilliance and treble-response.

Taylor's 524ce comes equipped with what has become a shop favorite electronics system. The Expression System 2.0 offers simple operation and a stellar tone. Three rotary knobs mounted on the bass-side shoulder of the guitar provide tonal control with Volume, Treble, and Bass. Shaping your sound is about as easy as it gets. Granted, having a nice acoustic guitar amplifier or decent PA system will all but guarantee a great sonic experience with minimal tinkering.
