Crafted in Guild's Oxnard, CA factory, the D-40 Traditional brings back the glory days when dreadnoughts ruled. Designed by Guild master luthier Ren Ferguson with scalloped Adirondack spruce bracing for power, articulation, and responsiveness, this all-solid-tonewood guitar radiates classic vintage vibe. The D-40 Traditional's tone-cannon dreadnought body, with its Sitka spruce top and mahogany back and sides, serves up a robust tonal palette that's perfect for vocal accompaniment, solo work, and many other "unplugged" applications. The 3-piece, dovetail-joint mahogany/walnut neck is capped with an Indian rosewood fingerboard. Premium appointments include a bone nut and saddle; tortoiseshell pickguard, rosette, and binding; and a lustrous nitro finish that imparts a timeless, played-in look and feel while allowing the sound of the Guild D-40 Traditional to bloom unimpeded.
